We have a couple problems to tell you about on the schuylkill expressway on the eastbound side. 76 right at 676 we have an accident there that is causing this backup. We normally dont see this much volume and this much backup until later into our morning commute due to the accident. This is at Spring Garden street. These are the eastbound lanes approaching the vine street expressway on the schuylkill. Skyforce 10 is going to check that crash out and well provide an aerial view of that as well. So checking on your drive times, we already are seeing that affect your drive times. 15 minutes from the blue route to the vine on the schuylkill. 95 southbound and 422 still looking good for now. I expect that to change in the next half hour. Also, i want to change the camera to show you interstate 78 at route 737 and exit 40. You can see emergency crews on the scene here. Reporter in front of the harris home that of their neighbors penndot announced an Emergency Action plan to tear apart the existing bridge over the Plymouth Creek and a new one to withstand eroding soil crumbling limestone and water, all factors that led to not one, but three giant sinkholes forcing the road to close. The new plymouth road bridge will be similar to the existing span in regard to its length and width. It will carry two 12footwide lanes and 8footwide shoulders. Reporter with the road closed and bridge needing rebuilding, why not take the time and make the bridge wider in they showed up here to ask those questions themselveses. The width of this road is obviously an issue. Reporter to accommodate more traffic, penndot says that would take far longer and cost more money. Woman told police where to find her vehicle and handed over the keys. We have this new video just in to nbc 10. A fall and rescue at a septa station in center city. Watch the bottom left side of your screen. A mans going to fall right there onto the tracks. This happened around 7 00 last night at the 15th street station. Some passengers scatter, a guy in an eagles jacket there jumped down to grab the man. Selfother passengers help pull the fallen man out. Were told he was not seriously injured. Septa commends the Good Samaritans but the agency advises a safer route would be notifying septa or using the emergency call box to have the tracks shut off. A burned body found in car near Philadelphia International airport. The mans body was found yesterday afternoon in southwest philly. The twodoor honda accord was just a burned out shell. Water swamped two of the three southbound lanes. Police had to close it off between market and vine street right during the morning rush. The water has since receded. Congress did not extend the Emergency Program so for most people around the country, after hey received 26 weeks of payments, the money runs out, she size this will hurt. I have bills to pay and no way to pay them. An Economist Says this will mean important choices for people out of work. Likely to force many of them to take jobs they otherwise wouldnt take. Either parttime jobs or lower paying jobs. Some republicans prefer limiting benefits to just 26 weeks, saying a continue situation is a disservice to workers. The white house is pushing congress extend the longterm benefits. Most democrats want a year, but for this newly employed mom getting back some benefits would help.
