Spell trouble for firefighters battling a brush fire in the south bay. steve the fire is contained right now. But the wind could kick it back up. steve map the fire is burning in East San Jose near quimby and Mount Hamilton roads. Kron 4s Hermela Aregawi has the latest. Hermela Aregawi fortunately, no injuries and no evacuations at this point. When this fire started just before 6 oclock this evening it was about 30 acres. Now it is at 54 acres. But fire officials tell us it is 70 percent contained at this point. And it is not spreading. Were told there are about 130 people working this fire. And that theyll be here through the night and into tomorrow morning. We spoke to with people who live nearby. Some couldnt even get to their homes. And they shared with us their concerns. We just received word from the city they sent out an official to give us an update the fire is 70 contained right now. Fire crews are up here at the corner of lookout and bay cove im sorry glencoe parkway. Fire crews are up the hill monitoring the hotspots of the fire and all of the homes along the edge of the hillside. This fire started from a car that went through the toll plaza off of the carquinez bridge and pulled over on eastbound 80 somehow the fire spread to the hillside and then the flames went up the hill threatening homes on papers to drive at this point firefighters tell us they do have about four homes that were impacted so the flames either reached the back o
