Ardene June Bartness Ardene was born on June 1, 1934 to Henry and Alice Mattfeld, and left this world leaving a legacy of love and laughter on March 25th, 2023. She grew up in New York Mills/Perham Minnesota. She was the youngest of 14 children. She married Billy (“Bill”) Bartness in 1957 and move to Washington state. Mom took on many important roles…wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and dear friend. She was employed at the JC Penny store in Puyallup, as a sales associate. Ardene cherished the time spent with her three children, seven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. Mom could light up any occasion with her generous laughter and smile. She loved playing UNO, watching her westerns, Dr. Phil and most important of all Judge Judy. She is survived by her children Denise Norman, Chris Bartness, Mark Bartness, 8 grandchildren and 10 great children She is preceded in death by her husband Bill and her granddaughter Jesicka.
