Two men were arrested within five minutes of an alleged theft of a mobility scooter on South Tyneside TWO suspected thieves alleged to have stolen a pensioner’s mobility scooter were arrested within five minutes after the alarm was raised by a concerned neighbour A Northumbria Police spokesperson said officers received a call from a concerned neighbour who had seen two men acting suspiciously in the Durham Court area of Hebburn, at 3.40pm on Saturday. The caller claimed the suspicious males had entered a block of flats where predominantly elderly residents live and had taken a mobility scooter from the foyer.
