Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced plans for a Delhi Shopping Festival, similar to the Dubai Shopping Festival. The festival is expected to last for seven to ten days and will feature a virtual market called Delhi Bazaar, which aims to bring together all the shops in the city. Kejriwal also suggested the possibility of organizing multiple shopping festivals in different parts of Delhi, categorized by sector.
The ‘Shopping Festival’ is among the Delhi government’s projects proposed in the Delhi Rozgar Budget last year with a key aim to increase employment in the city.
