the president on sunday addressed in front of the group of delaware veterans not just the sacrifice that they and their families made for those lost in service, but he made it deeply personal and spoke about his son, beau, who himself was a veteran, who had died six years ago that day. certainly, this president understands what memorial day is all about and the sacrifice that american families have made. well, and you know, beau told him, beau told us when he came on the set, wherever we talked to him, it was obvious his military service and the friends and colleagues that he knew and lost in the war, that was he felt like that was the most important thing he did in his life. so, obviously, it s very personal to the bidens, just like it is for so many families. mara, also, we re watching joe biden yesterday.
