Dec. 5: Ohio records 10,469 new coronavirus cases. The United States sees more than 1 million new cases Dec. 1-5. Former Illinois state Sen. Martin Sandoval dies of Covid. He was 56.
Dec. 6: Ohio Department of Health reports the state has 7,592 new cases. This brings the total number of cases to 475,024. A total of 6,959 people have died from Covid-19.
