A derelict building fire spread to two tractors after being fanned by the strong easterly winds. Critical Control received the first 999 call a 2am today, stating that a derelict building could be seen on fire from the A39 at Valley Truckle near Camelford. One fire engine and the light rescue four-wheeled drive pump (L4P) from Delabole was sent initially, along with a crew from Wadebridge and a wholetime officer. Within minutes of arriving there was a call for back-up from the crews at the scene, with a further engine from Bodmin sent. A spokesperson for Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said: Firefighters confirmed two tractors were well alight, surrounded by large quantities of wood and pallets.
