May 10, 2021 The University of Wyoming’s senior honor society, Mortar Board, recently selected this year’s winners of awards for outstanding advising, service and dedication. Christine Wade is the recipient of the Outstanding Advisor Award. Wade is an associate professor and head of the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources. She also serves as an adviser to the UW chapter of Mortar Board. The Outstanding Advisor Award recognizes a member of the university community who has performed outstanding academic, career and personal advising. Students are asked to nominate individuals who skillfully, and consistently, provide academic advice as well as career guidance, and who establish personal relationships with their students.

Coshocton Board of DD presents Awareness Month awards Staff Report COSHOCTON - The Coshocton County Board of Developmental Disabilities recently presented awards related to Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month. Each year, the board typically hosts a DD Awareness Month luncheon to invite community leaders to highlight a different facet of programming. Due to COVID-19, the board had to cancel last year s event and will be foregoing the event this year as well.  Since last year s ceremony was canceled at the last minute, awards were presented for this year and last. The board is planning on posting short videos to its Facebook page and images to Instagram throughout the month to highlight winners.

Obituary - Mrs. Evelyn Forehand Warren Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel Mrs. Evelyn Forehand Warren, age 95, died peacefully at Ogeechee Area Hospice, Statesboro, Ga., on Wednesday, January 6, 2021.     Evelyn was born on May 10, 1925, in Lyons, Ga., eldest of three children born to the late William Roan and Emma Lou Lanier Forehand. When Evelyn was a young girl, her family moved to Pulaski, Ga., where she graduated from Pulaski School, followed by attending business school in Atlanta, Ga.     Evelyn worked in Atlanta and Savannah before moving back home to marry and raise a family. Prior to moving back home, while visiting her parents one weekend, there was a type of train wreck in Pulaski and several people gathered at the location. Elton Warren, also from Pulaski, was one of the spectators. The spark for a lasting relationship started that day.
