Resolution to recognize Civil War event approved by Jefferson City Council

The Jefferson City Council on Monday voted to adopt a resolution recognizing Oct. 7, 1864, as a historically significant event when a potential Confederate attack was deterred in what has become known in the Capital City as the "battle that never was."
