For those thirsty pedestrians and their four-legged companions venturing onto the Bicentennial Bridge, a special hydration station to quench their thirst has been installed at Deborah Cooper Park on Adrian s Island.
Figures show the number of people who visited the Bicentennial Bridge and the area around it are impressive. Since Mid-March, the park has seen nearly 50,000 visitors.
Investments in the city's park system are paying off in the new revenue it is producing for Jefferson City, Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department officials recently shared with the City Council.
