Seven arrested during law enforcement operation

PORTSMOUTH Portsmouth Police Chief Debby Brewer and Scioto County Sheriff David Thoroughman announced that seven people were arrested, and suspected drugs were seized, during a law enforcement operation on Thursday, April 15, 2021, at approximately 3:19 p.m.
The Portsmouth Municipal Court Probation Department, assisted by the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force, Portsmouth P.D. S.W.A.T., and Ohio Adult Parole Authority, conducted a probation visit at an apartment located at 1902 Apt. I Kendall Ave. Portsmouth, Ohio.
Upon entering the apartment, officers identified and apprehend 20-year-old Michayla Storm Weaver of Grandview Ave. Portsmouth, Oh. Weaver had an indictment for her arrest, issued by the Scioto County Common Pleas Court, pertaining to felony drug charges. 57-year-old Richard E. Scott of 7th St. Portsmouth, Oh., was arrested on a warrant for violating felony probation, issued by Scioto County Common Pleas Court. 4

SCIOTO Scioto County Sheriff David Thoroughman and Portsmouth Police Chief Debby Brewer announced Tuesday a two-day “Multi-Agency Probation / Warrant Operation” was conducted Monday and Tuesday, March 1 and 2. Sheriff David Thoroughman and Chief Debby Brewer advised that this is the first of many to come.
“If we are to have safer/stronger communities, we have to have strong partnerships with our local, state and federal law enforcement agencies,” the agencies said in a release. “This holds true for the other governmental agencies, private business/organizations and our community that we serve. We have to strengthen and grow those relationships to better serve our community.”

PORTSMOUTH Portsmouth Police Chief Debby Brewer and Scioto County Sheriff David Thoroughman announced a Portsmouth, Ohio man has been arrested for drug possession after an early morning narcotics-related search warrant was executed by the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force and Portsmouth Police Department S.W.A.T.
On Saturday, February 6, 2021, at approximately 7:39 a.m., officers executed the search warrant at the residence of 35-year-old Kyle K. Everman of 1918 Apartment E Kendall Ave. Portsmouth, Ohio. During a search of the residence, officers seized approximately (120) grams of suspected cocaine and digital scales. Estimated street value of the suspected cocaine seized is $12,000.

PORTSMOUTH Scioto County Sheriff David Thoroughman and Portsmouth Police Chief Debby Brewer announced that a Portsmouth man has been charged with drug and weapon offenses after the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force assisted the Scioto County Common Pleas Court Adult Probation Department with an arrest and search operation on the morning of February 2, 2021, at approximately 9:30 a.m.
Probation officers and task force detectives located and apprehended 43-year-old Shayne J. Sweitzer of 17th Street Portsmouth, Ohio at a local motel located at 4266 US 23 Portsmouth, Ohio on a warrant for violating probation. During a search of the motel room, officers located and seized approximately (23) grams of suspected methamphetamine a.k.a “ice”, (2) handguns. digital scales, (10) suspected Oxycodone pills and other narcotics-related evidence.
