Ernest Allen Nethken

Ernest Allen Nethken, 89, of Crossville, passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2021. He was born on July 22, 1931, to the late Norman and Margaret Nethken. He   lived in Crossville for the past 22 years, after moving there from Cleveland. When he was in Cleveland, Ernest was a longtime member of Stanfield Baptist Church. Ernest loved working on cars, listening to bluegrass music, drinking coffee and smoking his pipe. Above all things, he loved his family and spending time with them. In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Collins Nethken; son-in-law, Tommy Layman; four brothers; two sisters; and one great-great-granddaughter, VB Rose Ellison.
