A defense attorney said the jury might conclude that his client s family members were involved, but he predicted that prosecutors could not prove that his client played a part.
The case was reinstated by the Indiana Court of Appeals, which reversed the trial court s earlier decision to dismiss the case on double jeopardy grounds.
The man, who already is serving a sentence for shooting a woman four times and attempting to murder her son, remains charged with murdering three people in two separate cases.
