Just weeks remain until the last treaty limiting the U.S. and Russian nuclear arsenals is slated to expire on Feb. 5. Without the 2010 New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty, or New START, the two countries that own more than 90 percent of the world’s nuclear weapons would be without any observed constraints on the size of their arsenals for the first time in nearly 50 years.

NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office and Indiana State Parole Office apprehended David Kriete on Wednesday, who was actively wanted on a parole retake warrant.
When authorities went to his residence in Country Squire Lakes, the suspect, and five others were inside. During a search, illegal drugs and paraphernalia were allegedly found. Six people, all from North Vernon, were arrested.
David Kriete, 49, was jailed for the parole retake warrant and new charges of maintaining a common nuisance and possession of paraphernalia.
Alexandria Snyder, 26, was busted for possession of methamphetamine, illegal possession of a syringe, and visiting a common nuisance.
