The Fazza Para Archery World Ranking Tournament is underway in Dubai, with qualification rounds taking place today.
More than 70 Para-archers from 11 nations are taking part in the seventh edition of the event.
Back-to-back Paralympic champion Zahra Nemati of Iran is among them, and led recurve women s open qualifying with a score of 620. In regard to my preparation for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, this is a very important competition and the score is good to start with, said Nemati. But I faced difficultly with the wind. I hope I can come out with better performance tomorrow.
On 596, Merve Nur Eroğlu of Turkey was second.
