Ryan and Wildschutt Travel to Belgrade, Serbia, for World Indoor Championships

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Lauren Ryan and Adriaan Wildschutt will be representing their own countries and the Florida State track and field program at the World Indoor Championships in Belgrade, Serbia, on Mar. 18-20. Ryan and Wildschutt will each run the 3000m run. Wildschutt will run his preliminary race at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday while Ryan will run her 3000m race at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The men's 3000m run final will be at 7:05 a.m. on Saturday. Both Ryan and Wildschutt had successful weekends at the NCAA Indoor Championships last weekend in Birmingham, Ala. Both athletes finished fourth in their respective events to earn First Team All-America honors. Ryan ran a 9:01.37 in the 3000m run in Birmingham in her first NCAA Indoor Championship race. TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida State track and field team is looking for a historic weekend at the NCAA Indoor Championships this Friday and Saturday at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala. Action will begin at 5 p.m. on Friday and 5:10 p.m. on Saturday with coverage on ESPN3. ESPNU will re-air the championships on Sunday night beginning at 9:30 p.m. The Noles will be sending seven athletes to Birmingham. Trey Cunningham (60m Hurdles), Isaac Grimes (Long Jump), Ahmed Muhumed (5000m Run), Don'dre Swint (60m Dash), Adriaan Wildschutt (5000m Run), Edidiong Odiong (60m Dash) and Lauren Ryan (3000m Run) all qualified for the championships. The Noles will be looking for their first indoor national champion since 2014 when Dentarius Locke and James Harris took home the titles.
