Brazilian Parliament to elect new presidents of legislative houses
Brasilia, Feb 1 (Prensa Latina) Brazil s Federal Senate and House of Deputies will elect their new presidents on Monday in a process that could have political repercussions in the last two years of President Jair Bolsonaro s administration.
Analysts assure that the voting will have consequences in an eventual reelection attempt by the ultra-right leader in 2022 and in the more than 60 requests for his impeachment that doze on the table of the lower house, mostly for his irresponsible management of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The new head of the Senate will lead for the next two years and to be appointed he will need the votes of 41 of 81 senators.
