Libraries not only create easy access to literature but foster a love of reading through engaging readers in activities. As always, Aptos Friends of the Santa Cruz County Public Libraries has a bevy of activities, which are centered around Dave Eggers' "The Monk of Mokha" for this season's Our Community Reads program.
The top honors in this year s children s book awards from the American Library Association lauded Dave Egger s <em>The Eyes and the Impossible</em> and Vashti Harrison s picture book <em>Big</em>.
