KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 31): As we usher in 2021, leaders throughout the country have expressed their hopes that the country will recover from the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic and that the economy will recover for the well-being of all Malaysians. Senior Minister cum Works Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof posted on his Facebook page that the construction sector was among the main contributors to drive the economy that has been affected by the pandemic, and prayed that 2021 would bring new hope to the country.
ALOR SETAR (Dec 31): All parties should leave it to the authorities to investigate the meat cartel issue which has sparked public concern of late.
Minister in the Prime Minister s Department (Parliament and Law) Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan said investigations by various agencies are ongoing and the government has not received any report so far on the matter.
“It is learnt that the authorities such as the police and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) are currently investigating the matter.
“I’m sure the minister concerned will announce about it later,” he said when met by reporters after the cheque presentation ceremony to welfare organisations in Kedah, here today.
Muafakat Nasional (MN) does not belong exclusively to a party or group, and instead it should be open to everyone in the country who loves unity, harmony and justice, said PAS secretary-general Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan.
