The last thing you want to be worrying about when you re not only battling Leukaemia but also awaiting a vital bone marrow transplant operation is the costs involved; sadly though, this is the case for Tralee native, Majella Kearney.
Majella was diagnosed with Leukaemia back in November of last year and has endured a number of debilitating rounds of chemotherapy but has come out the other side strong.
As she awaits her operation, Majella will need help to cover the costs of her accommodation while in Dublin and this is where her son, Ricky Clifford, steps in.
He has come up with a fundraising event that he hopes will not only help ease the financial burden on his mother, but that will also help to raise funds for a charity now very close to their hearts.
