Jordan Fisher will return to the Broadway production of
Dear Evan Hansen when it resumes its run at the Music Box Theatre on December 11. Fisher confirmed on
Good Morning America today that he would once again lead the company as Evan Hansen, alongside the company that was appearing in the show when theaters shut down. Further casting details are still to be confirmed.
Dear Evan Hansen features a book by Tony Award winner Steven Levenson, a score by Oscar winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, and direction by Michael Greif. The production has choreography by Danny Mefford, scenic design by David Korins, projection design by Peter Nigrini, costume design by Emily Rebholz, lighting design by Japhy Weideman, sound design by Nevin Steinberg, and hair design by David Brian Brown. Music supervision, orchestrations, and additional arrangements are by Alex Lacamoire. Ben Cohn is the Associate Music Supervisor.
Dear Evan Hansen will reopen at the Noël Coward Theatre in October 2021.
The hit show will go back on sale on 18 May, with the piece returning after having to halt performances in March 2020 due to the pandemic.
The musical tells of a boy in high school with social anxiety who fakes a series of letters and messages from a deceased member of his class to gain popularity.
It has words and music by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul and is directed by Michael Greif, with choreography by Danny Mefford, with design by David Korins, projection design by Peter Nigrini, costume design by Emily Rebholz, lighting design by Japhy Weideman, sound design by Nevin Steinberg and hair design by David Brian Brown. Producer Stacey Mindich has announced that the London production of
Dear Evan Hansen, which won the 2020 Olivier Award for Best Musical, will reopen at the Noël Coward Theatre on 26 October 2021. Tickets for the West End production will go on public sale on 18 May 2021 with tickets for the Broadway and touring productions now on sale. In addition, Mindich announces that the Broadway production will open on 11 December 2021 when the Tony Award-winning Best Musical will return to its home at the Music Box Theatre five years after its original Broadway opening.
It was also announced that the London production of
Dear Evan Hansen, which won the 2020 Olivier Award for Best Musical, will reopen at the Noël Coward Theatre October 26. And, the North American tour will relaunch December 7 in Greensboro, North Carolina, before visiting more than 30 cities across the U.S. and Canada in the 2021â2022 season.
