Steve jon lewis says that it does not factor in race at all. It is constitutional. Race could not be the driving factor, which we all knew it was. Jon but because race and politics can and do overlap, critics say it is still unfair to minority voters. They have gone too far if they do not consider race at all. The new maps have marginalized minority voters and undermined the intent of the Voting Rights act. Temperatures in the low 40s. Typically in the mid30s. A little bit milder, 45 in roxboro, 39 in sanford, 44, fayetteville. Were going to see clouds throughout the day, a little thicker cloud deck later in the day. But regardless, temperatures on our model, lower 60s, going for a spike between 2 00 and 4 00 getting around 65. The normal high, 56. Next week cooler and some rain. Imt chapelle. The high court decided an hour ago not to stop in order instructing a new congressional map, meaning that elections will happen in june. Heather this means the old voting maps are dead, but democrats say that new maps are just as biased as the old ones. Now that the Supreme Court decided not to step in, voters will likely be heading to the polls twice. Newly drawn congressional maps could be here to stay. The Supreme Court says they will not intervene on a Lower Court Ruling to get them changed, even though democrats complained it advantage. They know we are an evenly divided state, and they also know, the maps are designed to produce three democratic and 10 republican members of congress, divided state. Maps. I think electing republicans is better than electing democrats, so i drew this map in a way to help foster what i think is better for the country.
