Georgetown Celebrates Ramadan with Lighting Ceremony

Georgetown University organized a lighting ceremony in honor of Ramadan on March 13.   The Office of Campus Ministry and Georgetown Muslim Life hosted the ceremony, which commemorated the holiest month of the Islamic lunar calendar, during which the Quran was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad in the Muslim faith. The event involved a recitation.

Rabbi Daniel Schaefer to Leave Georgetown, Search for Replacement Commences

Rabbi Daniel Schaefer, the interim director for Jewish Life, will leave Georgetown University at the end of the Spring 2024 semester.
