Three Tigers Earn Comeback Wins in Sweep Over Georgia Southern

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson women’s tennis team (6-1) earned a convincing 7-0 sweep over Georgia Southern (0-1) on Friday at Duckworth Family Tennis Facility. Three separate Tigers battled from first set defeats to win their matches in supersets. It was the team’s fifth-straight home sweep to start the 2023 season.“​​This win was so important for us. MALIBU, Calif. – The Clemson women’s tennis team (5-1) pulled off an incredible 4-0 victory over Columbia on Sunday at ITA Kickoff Weekend. The Tigers endured a rain delay to take the doubles point and get the job done in singles to clinch the victory.  “Today we established what Clemson Women’s tennis is about,”  said a jubilant Head Coach Amy Sargeant. “We are fearless, gutsy and we play for each other. “I am so unbelievably proud of their heart & willingness to find a way. Today we grew from within and will continue to play on our terms and with our strengths. Tigers Sweep Doubleheader for Second Consecutive Weekend

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson Women’s Tennis team (4-0) continued its strong start to the season on Sunday with a doubleheader sweep over Presbyterian College and Wofford on Sunday at Duckworth Family Tennis Facility. It marks the second consecutive doubleheader sweep for Clemson, and all four matches thus far were won by a score of 7-0.  “I’m super proud of our team and where the girls are physically and mentally,” said Head Coach Amy Sargeant. “The girls have learned a lot this week and I commend their commitment to trusting the process and challenging themselves to get better.” The team was anchored by a powerful start in doubles, where they took two of three matches from the Blue Hose. Clemson to Compete at UNF Invite

CLEMSON, S.C.  Sophia Hatton, Eleni Louka and Dani Medvedeva will all compete at this weekend's UNF Invite in Jacksonville, Fla. Play starts on Saturday with two singles matches per player and one doubles match. Sunday will feature one singles match and two doubles matches. Saturday will kick off with the pairing of Medvedeva/Hatton taking on UNCC's Petruzelova/Wilkins at 9 a.m. Then, at 10 a.m., Louka will take on UNF's Kit Gulihur and Medvedeva will take on Sophia Biolay of UCF. Tigers to Compete in Malibu Regional for Kickoff Weekend

CLEMSON, S.C. Clemson women’s tennis will compete in the Malibu Regional hosted by Pepperdine University for the 2023 ITA Kick-Off Weekend from January 27-28. Each winner of the regionals will earn a bid to the ITA Indoor Championships. Clemson will be the four seed in the bracket that features Pepperdine, Memphis and Columbia, who finished the 2021-22 season ranked No. 8, 52 and 55, respectively. Clemson ended the season ranked No. 63. The Tigers is set to return all of its 2022 roster, with seniors Eleni Louka and Ali DeSpain as the lone seniors on the squad. Juniors Jenna Thompson, Samantha Buyckx, Cristina Mayorova and Dani Medvedeva all figure to make huge impacts for Head Coach Christy Lynch in her third full season.
