Drunk driving convictions three already. 12 news nick bohr has been investigating the case. He joins us live from cesar chavez and greenfield in milwaukee. That victim 27yearold amy , mayek, was crossing cesar chavez here around 1 30 in the morning last week wednesday when a speeding car plowed into her and never stopped. A suspect was arrested wednesday a man with a history of driving , drunk. Responding officers found the victim still sprawled on the pavement early last wednesday. They later identified her as 27yearold amy mayek of milwaukee. Her injuries critical. Police reviewed Surveillance Video showing the driver hit her and just kept going. 12 news has Learned Police found that car six hours later about 10 blocks from the crash scene. The owner said her son in law borrowed it and she hadnt seen it or him since.
