Paul Thompson wanted to make sure the cannabis conversation could happen, and the Little Leaf Cannabis Co. general manager is confident progress is being made.
“People that are coming in here are not afraid,” he said Saturday afternoon during the store’s Ontario Street grand opening.

Thompson shared the story of a customer who stopped by Friday – his first time in a pot store.
“He was very appreciative of all the help he got, but he said, ‘It’s really nice to be able to have this conversation now.’ Everyone is smoking it when they’re young, and now they’re in their 50s and 60s and 70s and 80s and (asking), ‘Why was it illegal?’ I think the stigma will break down.”
