Assaults on staff have more than quadrupled in prisons in yorkshire and lincolnshire over a five year period. In 2013, 326 were recorded. This figure rose to almost moo in 2018. The latest figures show three prisons in particular, recorded more assaults on staff in the first nine months of 20 19 than in the whole of the previous year.
