Vice President Kamala Harris and Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo will visit Providence on Wednesday to promote small businesses.
Rhode Island has played host many times to presidents and vice presidents over the years.
Joe Biden made several stops in Rhode Island while he was vice president.
In May 2016, Biden and then-governor Raimondo discussed the RhodeWorks highway initiative. Biden famously remarked on the Lincoln Logs holding up a bridge.
The former vice president also came by in 2018 to support the local delegation in the mid-terms, and he attended a Providence fundraiser in 2019 while running for president.
