Surreal Feeling Scores At Saratoga | Standardbred Canada

Surreal Feeling had little difficulty going wire to wire in the $11,000 Winners-Over Mare Pace at Saratoga Casino Hotel on Wednesday (April 7). The six-year-old was assigned post 6 in the six-horse feature, but wasted no time moving to the early lead. Surreal Feeling was hounded throughout the entire second-half of the mile by rival Berazzled, who was making her debut in the local Open, but held strong in the stretch to prevail in a win photo scoring in 1:54 in the feature. For Surreal Feeling, it was victory No. 24 in 71 starts. Berazzled was a strong second while Thats Incredible finished third. The exacta and triple in the feature paid $8.90 and $27.20, respectively, with the 1-5 favourite on top. The win in the feature was one of three on the card for Jimmy Devaux who currently sits third in the driver standings for the ’21 season. Surreal Feeling races for trainer Dale Lawton and co-owner Chris Lawton.

Racine Bell Saratoga s Leading Lady | Standardbred Canada

Racine Bell, a winning machine over the course of her young career, lived up to even money favouritism in Wednesday s (March 10) $10,000 distaff pacing feature at Saratoga Casino Hotel with a 1:54 score. The four-year-old daughter of So Surreal, who amassed over $285,000 at two and three while competing primarily on the New York Sire Stakes circuit, was sent immediately to the lead by Brian Cross and clicked off a :57.2 first half. She then powered away from her rivals through a :27.4 third quarter and opened up an insurmountable lead over runner-up Pammy Jo (Shawn Gray) and third-place finisher Bontz N (Billy Dobson). Racine Bell accounted for one of two wins on the card for her owners, Chris and Dale Lawton, and trainer Dave Dewhurst. Those connections also teamed up to win with young trotter Me Three, who broke her maiden with Jimmy Devaux in the sulky.
