Sask. realtor blasted for anti-vaccine, anti-mask views and transphobic comments about Canada's top doctor

Posted: May 14, 2021 5:50 PM CT | Last Updated: May 14 Saskatoon real estate agent Cam Bird is being criticized for recent social media posts questioning the gender of Canada s top public health official, as well as earlier posts saying he won t wear a mask or get the COVID-19 vaccine.(remax.ca) A prominent Saskatoon real estate agent is under fire for questioning the gender of Canada s chief public health officer Theresa Tam, as well earlier statements against mask-wearing and COVID-19 vaccinations. It s amazing someone thinks this is OK to not only think these things, but to say them publicly, OUT Saskatoon s co-interim director Jack Saddelback said.  This mentality is not welcome in our country and in our community.

Saskatoon Indigenous theatre company goes online with Christmas production

Saskatoon Indigenous theatre company goes online with Christmas production A Saskatoon Indigenous theatre’s Christmas production premiered Wednesday night not on stage but in a virtual format. Leave it to Weavers is being put on by the Gordon Tootoosis Nikaniwin Theatre. Jennifer Dawn Bishop is the theatre’s artistic director. She said normally a production like this one would be touring through northern communities during the Yuletide season but the COVID-19 pandemic means this is not an option this year. “Just for the safety, we know that a lot of communities would be hesitant to bring folks and us in for the health and safety of everyone,” she said. “So, we wanted to make sure that we can deliver the show, however way we can, and this way it also gets out to a wider audience and for free.”
