AccuWeather forecast: Weekend warmup Welcome to a warmer weekend! Our marine layer compresses this morning as a ridge of high pressure continues to build into the state. Sunny skies and above normal temperatures will result the next three days. Sunday will feature the warmest readings with afternoon highs as much as 15-20 degrees above normal.
Coastal communities will still be in the comfort zone today, but numbers will rise even at the shoreline to above-average readings tomorrow. An afternoon sea breeze will keep Pacifica in the mid-60s today while Castro Valley warms into the upper 70s & Pleasanton well into the 80s this weekend.
Tonight is a mainly clear night with only some coastal fog and overnight lows in the low to upper 40s. Sunday is a sunny and spring-like day with highs in the mid 60s to mid 70s, some 10-20 degrees above average for this time of the year.
A few showers and potential thunderstorms develop along the Coast and move south today. A few showers may stray near to on the Coast and especially the Santa Cruz Mountains.
