The Area School Systems are also impacted. Heres a look at the closures and delays in maryland. This just in. Montgomery county schools closed today. Again, were going to repeat that cause that just came in. Montgomery county schools are closed. Saint marys county schools are also closed. In maryland as well, the following schools on a twohour delay. Anne arrundel county schools, Calvert County schools, Charles County schools and Prince Georges County schools. Arlington county schools decided to close, same deal with alexandria city schools, Fairfax County schools Largest School district there in Northern Virginia is closed and Loudoun County schools also closed. Not terribly heavy up and down the i95 corridor but it is coming down, it is sticking and it will be with us for a few more hours. Break is because there is so much water and ice now all over the road. Just a skating rink here now. D. C. Water says its an 8inch main and they did get the water turned off it appears. We dont know when theyre going to be able to come and start actually working to repair this main. They also say that there may be some customers in the area affected without water, too, so definitely causing a number of problems here. Not only for residents but also for commuters. And its its just the kind of thing that they know they have to deal with. They have wssc and d. C. Water have extra crews on hand. D. C. Water says theyve been dealing with some 200 water emergencies a day since this cold snap began and we know that theres going to be more of these to come. They really are just kind of bringing in those extra crews, having everyone else on standby and were going to be here this morning. Hopefully this is not the the beginning of many, many that were going to be covering today but to stay here
