Colorado Plane Made Emergency Highway Landing Sunday

Colorado Plane Made Emergency Highway Landing Sunday Sunday highway traffic looked a little different in one Colorado town on Jan. 31. A small plane experiencing engine failure made an emergency landing on a median on Highway 50 in Penrose. The plane was about 12 miles away from Fremont County Airport when the emergency landing was made. KDVR reports the plane landed safety and the pilot was uninjured in the situation. The FAA is investigating the incident. Colorado State Patrol initially urged motorists to use caution in the area. A short time later CSP updated to say that the plane had been towed by a pickup truck that must have been quite the sight for fellow traffic.
