Antes dos jogos da seleção da Argentina, o craque do Barcelona tinha poucos motivos para disputar a Bola de Ouro, onde segundo as listas de favoritos ele fazia companhia a uma dezena de jogadores, muitos deles com chances maiores de ficar com o prêmio que ele já recebeu seis vezes, um feito exclusivamente seu.
Mas no decorrer da Eurocopa, os grandes nomes foram caindo, voltando para casa mais cedo, e assim craques como Ronaldo, MBappé, De Bruyne, Lewandowski, Benzema, Thomas Müller, Kanté, Lukaku, Sterling e Harry Kane reduziram as chances, enquanto as de Messi subiram com a conquista da Copa América e a performance espetacular de ter sido artilheiro e maior assistente do torneio. Some brick-and-mortar restaurants have chosen to roll out food trucks to help diversify revenue sources during the pandemic, including Colorado classics such as The Fort and Beau Jo s. But one food-truck operator has gone the other direction, bringing comfort food to two Denver neighborhoods.
Steven and Mandy Smith opened their first Crock Spot restaurant last November at 4045 Pecos Street. The move came after a decade of serving hearty bowls from their food truck, which got its name from crockpot cooking (even though the truck switched to more traditional oven and stovetop cooking shortly after launching). The Sunnyside Crock Spot has been serving up rice, barley and quinoa bowls topped with the likes of pulled pork, Celtic white bean stew, jalapeño shredded beef and root veggie curry to receptive neighbors over the past four months, even during the COVID-related dining-room shutdown that lasted from November 20 to January 4.

Park Hill Commons, a multi-use development at 2890 Fairfax Street, is getting its own coffee shop. Therizo Cafe + Tap will join other businesses like Sexy Pizza, Towards Justice and Park Hill Coworking that have already opened in the complex. Owner Dustin Barrett hopes Therizo s doors will be open for carryout service by next month.
Originally from Texas, Barrett moved to Denver in 2013 and worked in business and technology; he spent a year at Novo Coffee before deciding to open his own cafe. He wanted to use his business background to create positive social change, and thought focusing on the growers of the products consumed in a cafe would accomplish that goal.
