we are continuing to follow the breaking news now in miami where for the first time, u.s. president has been arraigned on federal criminal charges. just a few hours ago, donald trump turned himself in for what is his second criminal indictment. the first, of course, having been in new york. in miami he made his first appearance in a federal court room charged by special prosecutor jack smith related to the handling of miss classified documents along with his co-conspirator for moving dozens of boxes all while being caught on video then lying about it to the fbi. at no point did trump say a word to u.s. magistrate judge john goodman. it was his lawyer who pleaded not guilty on his behalf. the only restriction, placed on trump by the judge during the brief hearing is that he is not to have any contact, specifically about the case, with any possible witnesses including nauta, who still works for trump. i guess that will be based on the honor system. the date will be set for the

hi there, everyone. it s 4:00 in new york. whatever the results of next tuesday s midterm elections, there is no denying that these midterm elections are taking place with the very real specter of political violence and the prevalence of disinformation as a political weapon, unmatched in modern political times. large swaths of the gop have been swallowed up completely by the disinformation about the integrity of our very election systems, and many on the right have normalized conversations around political violence to the point in which polls show it is accepted by many as a useful tool to achieving the right s political aims. now, this says all sorts of things about the weakness of our democracy right now. more importantly, it says a whole lot of things about the weakness of the gop as a governing party. now, a party interested in governing would be desperate to debate policy and have those debates and win those debates ridded in data and a shared set of facts. there s none

i think it will be quite emotional when the coffin arrives here. certainly the public feeling that as well. let s just turn around here this is just one of the pathways leading down to the palace, people just desperate to have that moment to see the coffin. this is partly because there s going to be very limited opportunities to pay your respects to the coffin because all of these areas will be completely blocked off, full of people during tomorrow s procession, but also at the funeral itself. and lying in state, we re expecting queues of something like five miles. winston churchill, the last major state funeral there were 320,000 people that came out. that was in 1965. we re expecting something like a million people to come and see the queen. that s why i ve got so many people here trying to grab this moment. this is the mount. you can see the palace there. the coffin will arrive tomorrow night from behind the palace. tomorrow there will be a full procession, full ceremoni

thank you so much for being here. i m kate bolduan. they came, they saw, and they voted. now tuesday s primary results are shedding new light on what voters want and what and what politicians and what strategy that politicians will need to deploy to win in november. the biggest vote overnight was in kansas. voters there resoundingly defeated a constitutional amendment that likely would have invalidated the right to an abortion in that state. it s a result that is being closely watched by both parties as access to abortion services is becoming a critical issue for the midterms. but it was not the only big result last night. in michigan, republican congressman peter meijer, one of ten republicans in the house to vote for former president trump to be impeached, he was narrowly defeated in his primary. a primary where democrats actually pumped big money into propping up his opponent. it seemed to work this time. but will it backfire down the road? results in missouri and arizon
