WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. A nationally acclaimed community paramedicine program in western Indiana will continue to expand services, thanks to assistance from Purdue University faculty and a student.
The Mobile Integrated Health Program – commonly known as community paramedicine – operated by the Crawfordsville Fire Department will expand on-site vaccine clinics to students in kindergarten through 12th grade in Montgomery County. The department was one of 50 Phase 1

CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. (WLFI) The city of Crawfordsville is launching Indiana s first fire department-run Milk Depot.
It s a site that allows mothers to donate their breast milk to other mothers and babies in need.
The need for breast milk supply in hospitals is ever-growing. For NICU babies, it can be a matter of life or death and that s why this initiative has been at the forefront for state and local leaders, especially in Crawfordsville.

On Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at 4:25 PM, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a multi-vehicle crash on State Road 32 East, near County Road 550 East. Upon arrival, deputies discovered two semi-tractor trailers were involved, along with a Ford F-550 truck.
The Ford F-550, driven by Parker Schroll, 19 years old of Crawfordsville, was driving westbound on State Road 32 when it collided with an east-bound semi-tractor trailer driven by Abdinuur M. Mohamed, 36 years old of Minneapolis, MN. Schroll’s vehicle then collided with another semi-tractor trailer driven by Richard Rice, 57 years old of Danville, IL.
