Indiana Trooper arrested, charged with sexual battery
CRAWFORD COUNTY, Ind. An Indiana State Police trooper was arrested Thursday morning in connection with a sexual battery reported in February.
Ryan L. Griffith, 27, has been charged with felony sexual battery and false reporting. The incident was originally reported to the Crawford County Sheriff s Department but was investigated by ISP in Jasper on the request of the sheriff s department.
A release from ISP said Griffith, who was off-duty at the time, reportedly touched a woman in an unwanted manner on Feb. 27 at a home in Crawford County. Griffith also reportedly provided false information to investigators.
