A total of 2,125,375 doses of vaccine have been delivered to providers in Illinois, including Chicago, with an additional 445,200 doses allocated to federal government partners for long-term care facilities, bringing the total number delivered in Illinois to 2,570,575.

COVID Vaccine Needed For Second Doses Will Outnumber First Doses in Coming Weeks: IDPH
Illinois health departments and vaccine providers will begin to receive larger quantities of the second dose of the coronavirus vaccine to accommodate for the growing need of second doses, state officials announced Saturday.
Beginning Monday, health departments will also receive less shares of first COVID-19 vaccine doses due to the federal government s limited quantity, the Illinois Department of Public Health explained. Based on federal projections of vaccine shipments, the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) anticipates these allocations will hold steady for the next several weeks, before allocations of first doses can once again increase in March, IDPH said in a statement.
Illinois health officials reported 1,420 new COVID-19 cases and 41 deaths Monday as they announced a strategy to ensure everyone who has gotten their first COVID vaccine can get a second dose within the necessary window.
College students are not eligible unless they fall under another category.

In Huntley, there will be 6,800 vaccines made available to educators across McHenry County.
The process is like a well-oiled machine inside the very spacious Huntley High School on Harmony Road, with a spaced-out clinic.
Thousands of educators will be vaccinated, and on the other side of the table, school nurses are volunteering their time to help administer the Moderna shots. The teachers want to go back, said Janet Roskopf, a school nurse and volunteer. They want their kids back, so this is fantastic. It gives us hope that we will get back to somewhat normal.
Huntley is on a hybrid program right now; students come into schools a couple days a week.
