The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has decided to restart non-COVID treatment facilities at the post graduate institute of Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital (YCMH) following the decline in cases. In April, due to the surge in cases, PCMC had converted the YCMH into a dedicated COVID facility. The decision was taken to prevent non-COVID patients from getting exposed to the virus. However, anticipating the third wave, a department for paediatric COVID cases will be kept ready.
