House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday that she will continue to require House members to wear masks on the floor of the House chamber, despite updated guidance from the CDC that says it is now safe for fully-vaccinated people to go maskless indoors in most situations.

Ever since the coronavirus pandemic began, the government, celebrities, influencers and everybody around has been asking all to wear masks. Now, as COVID 19 second wave intensifies and India is registering a record number of cases each day, it has become of grave importance to follow coronavirus safety protocols now more than ever. Andy Slavitt, an adviser to the White House COVID-19 response team, said during an interview with CNN Wednesday that heâs âconfidentâ that new guidance for those fully vaccinated against the virus could be coming soon.

New York: A new study revealed that wearing two face coverings can nearly double the effectiveness of filtering out SARS-CoV-2-sized particles, preventing them from reaching the wearer’s nose and mouth and causing COVID-19.
The reason for the enhanced filtration isn`t so much adding layers of cloth but eliminating any gaps or poor-fitting areas of a mask, according to the study published in JAMA Internal Medicine.
