Right now the body of mayor ed lee lies in state underneath the american flag. Mr. San francisco himself willie brown just arrived. It is not just those people we know in the spotlight. Many other residents even some who never even had the chance to speak with the mayor. The mayor adopted San Francisco as his own after spending his childhood in seattle. He grew up in Public Housing the son of chinese immigrants. He said he was drawn to San Francisco for its diversity and tolerance. You can see that in all of the people that are attending the viewing. I believe on this picture at the far lefthand side in that beautiful bright red trenchcoat is former mayor willie brown. He is one of the many who are going to be saying and paying their respects. We were talking earlier when we saw the procession going to the streets of San Francisco and coming down mcallister taking a left on polk street and pulling up to the mayors parking spot. It happened so suddenly but we are watching this live. His body will lie in state in the rotunda of San Francisco city hall. In the course of our work, we have had many opportunities to meet with the mayor to interview him and to say hello. I am astounded by how many people i have talked with over the past couple of days and i am in the east bay.
