in political campaigns, the most important thing, typically, one of the most important things is intensity. and what you re seeing right now is that a year from now, trump will be saying, if the senate does give him a quick trial and exonerates him, his people are going to be saying, he was exonerated. how angry are they going to be versus the debate base, which will be standing there, presumably getting more information coming out over the next year with all of these court case s pending, that already believes that republicans were acting politically here. and they re going to be told the president was accused of all of these things, he was proved to have done all of these things and that he walked. i believe there s implications both for a longer senate trial, which brings out all of these facts now, or a shorter senate trial, that concludes a verdict, and then makes the most vulnerable republicans in the senate have to answer for, you know, essentially not having much of a trial and
