Telegraph Road shooting victim testifies from hospital room
When shots rang out Feb. 1, Alexandria (Baby Girl) Alamo-Cruz, 18, didn’t think they were directed at her car until, as she described in a court hearing Wednesday afternoon, she was face-to-face with a defendant, Kelvin Harris, also known as 40.
Alamo-Cruz was struck several times in the shooting, including in the head, that occurred on Stewart Road that night. She still has bullet fragments in her brain and paralysis in her right arm, according to her testimony taken from a hospital room. She is receiving speech therapy every day and physical therapy for her arm.
