Donington Parish Council is hoping a workable solution for repairing and maintaining the public toilets in the village has been found.
The public toilets in Market Place are now open on restricted hours, having been closed since March, with the ladiesâ side requiring significant repairs before they would be fit for use.
During a meeting of Donington Parish Council last week, Coun Jane King suggested a route which could eventually lead to repairs for the village convenience.

She said: âI have had a bit of a plan which Iâve run past the Chair; how about if I ask South Holland (District Council) to get all of the repairs and everything done and get it fit for purpose and up to workable use and then we take it over?
