CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - Charlottesville might be getting a more robust Police Civilian Review Board, but it’s going to take time and lots of discussions. That started on Tuesday night in a joint meeting between the PCRB and City Council.
Before the lengthy discussion began, Mayor Nikuyah Walker said we’re not going to get through this if we’re not open, even if the questions are heated.

CHARLOTTESVILLE (WINA) – City Council has repealed the city’s special COVID ordinance. It was part of the consent agenda last night… though removed so Mayor Nikuyah Walker could vote “no”.
The local ordinance had some stricter restaurant and gathering measures than Governor Northam’s latest Executive Orders, and Councilor Heather Hill in her resolution was concerned as reopenings progress, maintaining the local ordinance would become growingly more cumbersome.
