LOWELL Dozens of city employees and officials gathered at a small pump station at the corner of Nesmith Street and the Hunts Falls Bridge Friday morning to dedicate the facility for the city's former longtime Water Utility maintenance superintendent.
Had Gov. Maura Healey attended the most recent Lowell City Council meeting, she probably would have shouted “Amen” to Councilor Erik Gitschier’s comments concerning housing the area’s homeless population.
LOWELL The development of existing buildings and vacant properties in the city is very much on the City Council’s collective mind, and the motions from past meetings, as well as the upcoming meeting, reflect the members’ intent to maintain a focus on growing the economic fortunes of Lowell through property growth and development.
LOWELL The city continues to recover from the April 24 cyberattack of its municipal network, which knocked phones, email, financial, human resources and asset management and revenue systems, as well as other ancillary services like dog, business and marriage licenses, offline.
