Cariboo North MLA expresses some optimism but also many concerns over provincial budget

Coralee Oakes is sounding the alarm on a lot of items in Tuesday’s provincial budget, but she was somewhat optimistic about one item.
It revolved around the 100 million dollars announced for anchor tourist attractions and trails.
“It is my desire to make sure that Barkerville and Cottonwood House are included as an anchor attraction for British Columbia, and I think it’s a great opportunity for everyone in Cariboo North to send the Premier a message, and to send the government a message, of how critically important Barkerville Historic site is.”
Twenty-five additional COVID-19 deaths
SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials on Friday announced 1,286 additional COVID-19 cases. Per the state Department of Health, the most recent cases are:
316 new cases in Bernalillo County
3 new cases in Catron County
55 new cases in Chaves County
21 new cases in Cibola County
10 new cases in Colfax County
54 new cases in Curry County
160 new cases in Doña Ana County
42 new cases in Eddy County
17 new cases in Grant County
4 new cases in Guadalupe County
2 new case in Hidalgo County
60 new cases in Lea County
3 new cases in Lincoln County
3 new cases in Los Alamos County

The state Department of Health reported 1,201 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday and 20 additional deaths related to the disease.
Bernalillo County had the most newly reported cases on Tuesday, with 484. Two other counties had 100 or more newly reported cases: Doña Ana County with 117 and San Juan County with 104.
On Tuesday, the department reported 740 individuals were hospitalized for COVID-19, an increase of 37 people since Monday. This could include those from other states who are hospitalized in New Mexico, but would not include New Mexicans who are hospitalized out of state.
DOH provided some information on each of the 20 newly reported deaths.
SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials on Tuesday announced 1,201 additional COVID-19 cases and 20 deaths. As of today, there are 740 individuals hospitalized in New Mexico for COVID-19. This number may include individuals who tested positive for COVID-19 out of state but are currently hospitalized in New Mexico. This number does not include New Mexicans who tested positive for COVID-19 and may have been transferred to a hospital out of state.
Per the state Department of Health, the most recent cases are:

47 new cases in Chaves County
17 new cases in Cibola County
2 new cases in Colfax County
