CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cuyahoga County Council, in a nine-to-one vote on Tuesday, approved an $8 million deal with an engineering firm to begin drawing up plans for a new jail.
Councilwoman Nan Baker was the only member who voted against the four-and-a-half year contract with St. Louis-based HOK. Councilman Jack Schron did not attend the meeting.
