Monsters win big over Belleville, 5-1, in first game of back-to-back

Left winger James Malatesta scored two goals, and the Monsters had no problem with visiting Belleville, 5-1, on Dec. 14. Malatesta, a 2021 fifth-round pick, has seven goals this season. Marcus Bjork added a power-play goal, and Roman Ahcan and Corson Ceulemans each tallied once. Hunter McKown had four assists. Jet Greaves made 33 saves. The Monsters held Belleve to 0 of 3 on power plays. Cleveland (15-7-1-0) was playing its first home game in 11 days. The victory ended a two-game skid. The teams meet again Dec. 15 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
