Palm Beach County has an array of top quality dining and wellness options this spring, including epic eats, hotels and resort experiences in South Florida.
Newcomers and longtime residents are continually surprised by additional charges they find on South Florida restaurant bills, plus tax rates that can vary by city. Glass of water? $2. Extra slice of tomato? $1.50. Then there are sharing fees, to-go fees, corkage fees and fees to bring in a birthday cake.
On National Pizza Day, here’s a new pizza joint to put on your radar:
Vivo Pizza and Pasta, an upscale fast-casual pizzeria opened two weeks ago at Boca Center in Boca Raton. The menu, which also includes pasta, antipasti, wine and sweets, lists 11 varieties of pizza.
The 12-inch pies are topped with a range of expected classics sausage, prosciutto, San Marzano tomatoes, black olives, basil and some unexpected ingredients, like the ones on the patata pizza (potatoes, fior di latte mozzarella, pancetta and caramelized onions).
The new spot is located in the 30-year-old plaza formerly named Crocker Center. Vivo shares the plaza with newcomer Copperfish Kitchen and several other dining concepts. This is the first U.S. location for the Vivo chain, which has eight restaurants in Ontario, Canada.
